MEMBERS OF THE PRIMERO RE-2 BOARD OF EDUCATION

Mr. Michael Duran, President: Director District #29 (Weston & South). Term of office expires in November 2011.
Mr. Duran is a special education teacher in the Trinidad School District #1 at Trinidad High School.

Mrs. LaDonna Moltrer, Secretary: Director District #61S (Valdez & South). Term of office expires in November 2011.
Mrs. Moltrer is a nurse at the hospital in Raton, New Mexico. Her family owns Purgatoire Valley Construction in Trinidad and Big 4 Country Store in Valdez.

Mr. David Huey, Treasurer: Director District #16 (Sarcillo Canyon, most of Wet Canyon, La Garita). Term of office expires in November 2009.
Mr. Huey is owner of City Carriage in Trinidad. He has lived in the district since 1986. He is a former coal mine superintendent of the New Elk Mine in our school district.

Mr. Jubal Incitti, Member: Director District #11 (Stonewall, Northfork, Picketwire). Term of Office expires in November 2011.
Mr. Incitti is a rancher. He is a graduate of Primero High School.
Mrs. Victoria Olesen, Member - Director District #12 (San Juan Plaza). Appointed to the board in June 2008. Term of office expires in November 2009.
Mrs. Olesen is a graduate of Primero High School and worked for the school district for 30 years as a secretary.
Member: (Vacant seat*) - Director District #3 (Vigil, north of Weston, San Pablo Canyon, small south part of Wet Canyon)
Member: (Vacant seat*) - Director District #61N (Segundo, Valdez & North, Burro Canyon)
* Eligible residents of Director Districts 3 or 61N who are interested in the possibility of serving as an appointed member of the board until the next general election should contact the President of the Board or Superintendent of Schools for further details.

Mr. Gerald W. Gabbard, Chief Executive Officer (Superintendent of Schools):
The Superintendent of Schools is the chief agent of the board, head supervisor of all employees, and lead manager of the day-to-day operations of the district. Mr. Gabbard is a native of Wisconsin and has lived in Colorado since 2002. He has worked as a public school administrator since 1997and for five years 1992-1997 as a vocal music teacher. He was originally appointed for a three year contract 2006-2009 and was granted a one year extension by the board in September 2008 to run through June 30, 2010.
