Certified Teacher Application Form & Process
If you are a qualified teaching applicant interested in working with us and you are applying for a current posting listed above (not substitute teaching, however), then please download a certified teacher application form. We accept applications only for known openings.
When prompted, select "Save" or "Save to disk", depending on your browser. Open the application, fill in all the appropriate fields, and email it as an attachment by simply clicking the email link on the first page. You will be contacted soon after we receive your application if we are interested in interviewing you. Interview expenses, license fees, and fingerprinting costs are at the applicant's expense.
Applicants must hold or be eligible to apply for licensure in Colorado. Applicants must also be "Highly Qualified" in their subject or area of instruction under the No Child Left Behind Act.

A complete application packet consists of: (1) the Certified Teacher Application, (2) a letter of introduction, (3) an updated resume, (4) copies of at least three current letters of recommendation (including at least one from your most recent employer), (5) a list of current references and contact information, (6) photocopies of licensure and transcripts, and (7) a one page Philosophy of Education statement. |

Interviews If an applicant is selected for an interview, it will be conducted on site at the applicant's expense. The District may conduct a screening interview by telephone prior to inviting candidates for an in person interview on campus. Interviews are typically panel interviews, with administrators, teachers, parents, a board member, and sometimes students. Teacher candidates may be asked to teach a model lesson and complete a writing assessment. |
