SEPTEMBER 2007 PRIMERO RE-2 NEWS
September 27: Students of the Month announced for September 2007:
Each student will receive a certificate of recognition. Congratulations!
September 25: Board of Education Meeting (rescheduled from September 18) Major Action Items:
All votes were approved 4-0 in favor of the resolutions. Mr. Mestas, Board vice-president, was absent from this meeting. The Board also welcomed prospective Board of Education candidate for director district 61S, LaDonna Moltrer, who was in attendance in the audience. She stated that she wishes to serve on the school board to help improve the school and ensure that the district competes well academically in the area.
September 9: Students in high school business course, Managing Resources, with new instructor, Debra Pacheco (seated at left of photo).
September 4: Over 200 students in grades K-12 returned for the start of classes today along with a full contingent of teachers and support staff. The administration led a welcome-back assembly for all students from 9:00 - 9:20. At 9:20, students in grades 6-12 had a presentation by the Sheriff, State Patrol and local gas and heavy equipment companies, including Pioneer Natural Resources, Purgatoire Valley Construction, XTO, Felix Chavez, and others, about driving safety on Highway 12.
September 3: Labor Day Holiday and Parade in Trinidad
The Primero Junior High Cheer Squad received a 1st Place Award in the parade competition. Congratulations! |
